Organico is a range of all organic, Mediterranean food. We choose to work with suppliers that look out for the environment. We do this because we know quality starts from the soil in which the raw ingredients are grown, and the people that make the products. Our suppliers are passionate about the food they produce, using only organic, raw ingredients, the best production techniques to retain nutrition, and recipes that protect the natural taste of the ingredients.

 

Breadsticks and Crackers

They believe in products being slowly and naturally leavened, preserving natural goodness and flavour. That’s why, since 1990, the Mosca’s have been producing the best quality breadsticks and crackers for us at Organico. Our flavours include Sesame and Spelt.

Mediterranean Condiments

Our organico condiment vegetables are grown, prepared and packed by one family. Sourcing this way, from grower-producers, means that more income is kept on the land. The family, workforce, farming practices and delicious products are bound to a commitment to protecting the environment. Our condiments include raw vegan pesto, capers, and sun-dried tomatoes.

 

Olive Oil & Vinegars

Our olive oil is produced by Manuel Pérez Delgado in Ourense, Spain. Extracting extra virgin olive oil through stone milling and employing a large workforce to ensure rigorous quality control means that the Organico range includes quality oil. Meanwhile, our Balsamic Vinegar is produced by a family-run business, with members involved in all areas from agriculture, wine and must production to vinegar maintenance. The balsamic vinegar has won various excellence awards over time.

Olives

Our producers, a family in the Province of Foggia, rely on their understanding of the land, looking at soil and weather conditions – instead of using pesticides – to ensure that our Olives are grown with quality, and without harm to the environment. We have a whole range of different olives including garlic stuffed, giant green, and provencale.

 

Pasta Sauce

Pasta sauces horizontal.JPGOrganico tomatoes are grown and then transformed by a basic traditional and natural process, fresh from the harvest by a small co-operative of Tuscan farmers. Our sauces include Vegetable Bolognese Sauce, Red Pepper and Balsamic Sauce, and Red Wine and Porcini Sauce.

Benedetto Picco and his wife moved to the Po Valley region to follow their passion of sharing their love of rice with the world. They felt it important that rice production was combined with respect for the environment in which it was grown. This is a belief that still drives the family. A wide range of typical and newer varieties of rice are grown on their land. This means the Organico range includes black, red and white rice, great for rissotto and other rice dishes.

Speciality Pasta Range

Organico pasta is made by a co-op that was founded in the 1970s. At this time the local community was at risk of abandonment due to movement of residents into the towns and cities. The co-operative was started with focus on supporting local producers and traditional methods, and 40 years on it is these ends it still pursues.

Spreads & Dips

For over 20 years the focus of the family, that makes our spreads and dip, has been on the use of ingredients that are available to them, on their own farm. They believe that organic should be the norm and as a result their land is 100% organic.  Our recipes use sundried tomatoes picked and dried in their own fields, olives selected from their own trees, and artichokes carefully cut and diced by their employees.

 

Tuscan Tomato Products

The partnership with co-operative localchopped-and-peeled-tomatoes
Tuscan farmers to make our Tomato products was established in 1978. Blessed by an ideal microclimate and soils rich with natural fertility, Tuscan tomatoes are highly prized. By picking tomatoes at the correct ripening stage and immediately processing them, the fresh taste of the fresh tomatoes can be preserved over time, as well as reducing environmental impact.
